TiVo's copyright protection has been cracked, and a software is now available which converts a .TiVo file to a regular MPEG file

You can find the details about the project here: tivodecode.sourceforge.net. I don't have access to the actual TiVo service, however as far as I know this lets you watch TiVo content on any device - which is how it should be in the first place (TiVo files are normally viewable only under Windows). I guess Linux and Mac users deserve loving, too, and had TiVo gave some to them, this probably wouldn't happen.
