The latest iSuppli report shows that AMD is now finally among the top 10 semiconductor makers in the world. AMD pushed quite a lot of places since last year, advancing from number 15 to number 7

The first 10 list looks like this: Intel, Samsung, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, STMicroelectronics, Renesas Technology, AMD, Hynix, NSP, Freescale Semiconductor.

AMD's revenue went up 90.7% from $3,917 millions in 2005. to $7,471 millions in 2006. It now holds 2.9% of the total semiconductor market, with its closest competitor being Hynix which holds 2.8%, and is also in the top 10 list for the first time.
